Job Description
- 1. Production Planning & Control
- Plan daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules.
- Ensure optimal utilization of machinery, manpower, and materials.
- Monitor production output and take corrective actions to meet targets.
- 2. Process & Operations Management
- Oversee copper rod manufacturing (CCR/rolling mill), wire drawing,
- annealing, bunching, stranding, extrusion, and cable manufacturing
- processes.
- Ensure smooth workflow across departments.
- Minimize downtime and improve productivity.
- 3. Quality Assurance
- Ensure adherence to BIS/ISO and customer specifications.
- Coordinate with Quality team for inspections and testing.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions.
- 4. Cost Control & Efficiency
- Monitor production costs, wastage, and rework.
- Improve yield and reduce scrap.
- Implement lean manufacturing practices.
- 5. Team Management
- Supervise production engineers, supervisors, and operators.
- Conduct training and performance reviews.
- Maintain discipline and workforce motivation.
- 6. Safety & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and statutory requirements.
- Promote safe working culture on shop floor.
- 7. Reporting
- Submit daily production reports and monthly performance analysis to
- Management.
- Coordinate with Maintenance, Stores, Quality, and Sales teams.
- Qualification & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Metallurgical Engineering.
- 12–15 years of experience in copper rod, wire, or cable manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of CCR lines, wire drawing machines, extrusion lines.
- Experience in handling plant operations and manpower.
